    that's a good suggestion for the members of the community that travel globally. that said there are a significant number of folks who can't travel often or much at all who are often left out regardless of location. seems important for and other events to work on this.

    It's probably good that rejected the two ethics-related proposals I was a part of, because I probably would've inappropriately laughed out loud at the announcement of . (But I'm still trying, folks, and will submit to join you in Toronto, eh!)

    And folks, we really need to think about invoking "fact" is a reasonable way to signify the role of algorithms in society, let alone the iconography of a camera's aperture, which invokes somehow representing reality through technology. Just sayin'

    I heard through the grapevine that someone mentioned a desire for ethics pedagogy tutorials at FAT*. *glances around* Well it just so happens I've got a failed proposal for one that would be easy to dust off. :) (P.S. Did you clock the name change?)
