    This is critical. Offices need to: 1) reflect more 2) Involve KEY players to the table for discussions 3) Truly take the time to asses data 4) Be intentional without losing focus and forgetting the end goal/purpose.

    Parents need to provide the ultimate support to their kids. Empower them to take ownership of their education. Have conversations early on about their future without imposing. Manage expectations about finances. Challenge them to think about their future.

    Just finished a high school visit for Juniors. I can’t stress the importance of starting the EARLY! Curious to learn how much resources, if any, is allocated towards spring travel.

    A3). Great question. To grow a specialty major there should be dedicated recruiter(s), detailed strategies and tactics in place, marketing support, and maybe even... drumroll...budget support.

    This is a very interesting read. We are currently conducting similar research at our institution. Question for my friends - KY requires test scores for placement. Would it be a disaster to not require for admissions but require for placement?

    , looking for your thoughts on our engagement rates on emails. We ran the campaign last year and again this year (same exact emails to the same student populations). However, our click rates have declined (on avg. from 3.5% to 0.4% unique click rate).

    Morning’ from the west coast! In Portland, OR the next two days with leading training workshops for admissions, MarCom, and athletics. For small, private colleges it’s extremely important to make sure those three groups are aligned.

    A2: We did still use territories, but had secondary assignments to provide another contact point about specialty programs. I know it's common to be major first for music programs for example.

    A2: We don't currently have a specialty management model, but we do make sure to highlight these programs during Open Houses and other admissions events -- they're unique and students often don't know how they fit into the main curriculum, unless they're shown firsthand.
