"While the Duterte regime, like Marcos before, thinks that their show of violence will prevail, we will continue to widen our ranks and further mobilize the widest range of students towards the overthrow of fascism and the fight for national democracy."

If EDSA will happen today, it would be illegal under ATL and the fascist regime.
Ironic how the government commemorates the 35th anniversary of EDSA People Power yet continues to harass dissenters and stop rallies and mobilizations.
Pero tuloy-tuloy pa rin ang laban.

Today, we celebrate one of the most shining moments in our history.
May we, as one nation always stand up and be counted to fight for democracy, human rights, freedom of expression, social justice, good governance, and press freedom. #EDSA35
I join the Filipino Nation in commemorating the 35th Anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution.
May we never forget what we fought and continue to fight for, and may the Philippines rise, prosperous, and renewed because of our unity.

Marcos family fled Philippines stealing at least $5 Billion, left the country with $26.2 Billion debt, had 398 disappearances, 3.2K extrajudicial killings, 35K tortured, and 70K illegally arrested.
We kicked them out 35 years ago; Duterte is helping them return to power. #EDSA35
EDSA Revolution will always be the victory of the Filipino people, and it will always serve as another reminder that the Filipinos, throughout our history of struggle, will always be capable of toppling our oppressors, whether they are with foreign blood or not

For peoples power anniv, I did an embroidery of Voltes V (still a wip!) along with the phrase "let's volt in against state fascism"
May we be reminded that we can overcome great challenges with collective action.
Resist!
#EDSA35#NeverAgain
As we remember the 35th anniversary of the EDSA People Power Revolution, let us continue striving towards democracy.
Let us stay vigilant for injustices, remind ourselves that our voices have the strength to change the tides, and the power to initiate a change.
#EDSA35
On Feb 25, 1986, the power of Filipinos ousted Ferdinand Marcos in the EDSA People Power. We commemorate the resistance that paved way to our freedom from oppression. May today remind us to defy tyranny, to fight, and to let our voices be heard for the people.

The Ateneo universities have combined forces to commemorate #EDSA35 with a series of talks on its 'memories, legacies, and uncertainties'. I will join the panel on Christianity and democracy with Fr Tony Moreno, SJ and Dr Kristoffer Esquejo.
35 years after the 1986 EDSA People Power, we continue to experience relentless attacks on our freedoms under a different administration.
Can the 1986 People Power truly be considered a “revolution”?

LOOK: Multiple progressive groups have joined forces in the agitation to reunite the EDSA People Power anniversary and condemn Duterte's current dictatorship at the Department of National Defense marching toward the People Power Monument.

In 1986, during the EDSA Movement, students from then UP College Baguio marched to Baguio Cathedral as part of the people's nationwide protest to trump a dictator.
UPB USC is one with the people's celebration of EDSA 1!

I’m smiling because it took only 4 days after the dictator and his family fled to begin taking back what they stole and, despite all the obstacles, took only one generation to recover $680M that they thought they could keep forever. #EDSA35

"Let us not forget that the power lies not to the hands of those in the position, but to us, the people... We initially made it possible 35 years ago. Today is no different."
