    robs people of their dignity and independence. A mother of a week-old baby in Galway was refused her baby formula yesterday because they had 'run out till Monday', no other support offered. Just no words for how wrong this is. Time to for once and for all.

    This is life lived with the brakes on. Endlessly. Put a stop to now

    I've never been so uninterested in my birthday the way I am atm, I turned 30 in this hostel, I'm turning 37 in 16days and still in the same place. 7yrs of my productive life I'll never get back. It's time to address this endless wait for decisions from the dept of justice.

    An excellent insight into the shambolic and cruel state of the legal aid system for int’l protection applicants. So many ppl are left high and dry, and pay for the strategically-placed systemic shortcomings with years spent living in

    Asylum seekers say that some solicitors assigned to them by the legal aid board ignore them & their cases. Solicitors say what the board pays them for representing asylum cases is not adequate. My report for :

    Your own party wants to move 8,000 in into "own door accomodation", i.e. houses. What solution will you propose when there's another 8,000 asylum-seekers in the country? A party that's effectively open borders is irrelevant on Ireland's

    My god. There is a woman in her 50s on in tears because she is living in a shed with no running water as she has nowhere else to go. This hour of radio, documenting the experiences of older victims of the housing crisis, has been rage-inducing.

    Ending is pointless unless you also end multiple appeals for bogus applicants. People close to me are involved with INIS. In their opinion, 80%+ are bogus. Which lines up with existing give stats.

    I feel such a sense of embarrassment and shame about . We all should.

    On the way! A flight has left Ireland 🇮🇪 for Uganda 🇺🇬 with a third of a million vaccines (+consumables to administer them) Vaccine solidarity and equal access is a priority and we’ll be donating 1-2 million more vaccines through in the coming months.
