Completely endorse the pleas to observe the
#DigitalPicketLine. Lots of people do important research; pretty much no-one does research so important the tweet can't wait until 5 December -
Remember, we ALL benefit from successful industrial action, even if we can’t or won’t strike. Please don’t promote your research while colleagues are losing pay in the rain, for all of us.

So many questions about this job. Seriously,
@durham_uni, who thought it would be a good idea to cross the#digitalpicketline and advertise this in the middle of a nation-wide HE industrial dispute? And why is there only a FOUR-day application window?? pic.twitter.com/2aEaYOZ0Et

Now that the
#digitalpicketline is over, I can share how ridiculously delighted I am by this lovely review of my book Shakespeare's Domestic Tragedies in this week's TLS!! https://www.the-tls.co.uk/articles/so-wise-so-young/ … (The 'so wise so young' title is, sadly, not about me. I'm not that young. Or wise.) -
Academia doesn’t move fast enough that 8 days without research-related tweeting will derail a project or damage a scholar’s profile. Not a subtweet or going after anyone particular.

#DigitalPicketLine I was a Full Prof before having my son, and I don’t think I would have got there if I hadn’t. Working part-time, not being able to travel as much or attend ‘good to be seen’ meetings may well have been a career killer. Solutions needed if we want equality! -
For those of you questioning whether the
#DigitalPicketLine is pointless, you make your decisions about what to tweet. But if not tweeting about your personal research for 8 days could help colleagues feel just a tiny bit less demoralised, I think we should do it.#UCUStrikesBack -
Today no archaeology tweets to support staff on
#MOLAstrike. Never cross a#digitalpicketline. Low wages have plagued our professional sector for over a generation - something has to change. -
Now that the
#digitalpicketline is finished, I can share this note from one of my students: “please please please dedicate your PhD to Selena Goatmez and Vincent Van Goat [the Reagan library fire safety goats]”

Guys, stop tweeting about your bloody research outputs and respect the
#DigitalPicketLine - your colleagues are standing out in the cold, unpaid, fighting for ALL our futures - the least you can do is respect their efforts, and support them online for the 8 days of#UCUstrikes -
Friends, former colleagues and fellow
@ProspectUnion members are striking at Museum of London Archaeology today over low pay there and across the industry. Please have a look at the@prospectarchs feed for more info on why they're striking, the strike fund and#digitalpicketlinePrikaži ovu nit -
In spirit of
#DigitalPicketLine I've not tweeted on work-related matters during#UCUstrike & will continue this until strike ends I am also waving my virtual placards vigorously [Image of 3 placards: Fair Pensions; Equal Pay 4 Women; Better Futures for All - End Casualisation]pic.twitter.com/qXBmHwFfwX -
If you are in a UK based HE institution, don't tweet about work during a strike.

Only just heard about the
#DigitalPicketLine as I'm not a prolific user of twitter but as a clinical academic in another union this is one way to show support for the#UCUstrike so I won't tweet about academic matters during the strike days.https://twitter.com/NobodyLikedThat/status/1198998306741014528 …Prikaži ovu nit -
Shift towards a meeting is because of our membership
@ExeterUCU and branches across the country. What we're doing is working. Pickets, everyone withdrawing your labour, holding the#digitalpicketline, non-striking institution staff not crossing lines, all of it#UCUStrikesBackPrikaži ovu nit -
A reminder that during strikes please don’t cross the
#DigitalPicketLine! That means no tweeting about your work, other people’s work, academia in general. Yes, it’s very difficult! Many of us are learning just how much we eat, sleep and drink academia. But isn’t that that point? -
This is the last day of the
#DigitalPicketLine and#UCUStrikesBack. Although I recognise that words and tweets aren't worth much, but I see you all and respect you. Thanks for standing up for the University and for workers like me, who have benefitted from it.Prikaži ovu nit -
Don't forget
#digitalpicketline, academic peeps: 'a great way for those who are unable or ineligible to show solidarity with striking UCU members' (@mattmccall25) by not tweeting research-related stuffs during strike -
Personal narratives can be very powerful in highlighting structural problems. But how people are observing the
#digitalpicketline is very revealing of how ingrained cultures of self-promotion are in HE and how difficult some academics find it to speak collectively -
I am so happy the
#digitalpicketline has lifted so I can publicly congratulate the wonderful DR GILL FRANCIS on passing her PhD viva
A fascinating thesis on counterfactual reasoning & pretend play.
