    Repeat from a previous , but I wanted to share this moment again of hand-feeding a moon jelly to an egg-yolk jellyfish this summer ! If you watch the tentacles, you can see this medusivore reel in the moon jelly like an actual fish!

    Clearly deep in thought as I try to talk about how incredible are! So much fun to show students Amakusa jellyfish polyps (a few millimeters) and tell them how big they can get (meter long tentacles)! A decent stinger too!

    Sometimes what seems simple is far from it!!!! Despite its transparency, the bell of a is one of the most intricate and beautiful things i have ever seen! Look at that detail.
