I’ve done it before (see
#DPS18 sketch of an@AlanStern talk)... but I need to figure out this shell!pic.twitter.com/AdBuTkA8Kr

This past week I presented my work with my advisor on constraining the history of water on Mars at the
#DPS18 conference. Poster session was awesome & sparked really good discussions. I love talking science and the fact that I get to do it as part of my job makes me very happy pic.twitter.com/vSIs9rHRCw

Well that’s new. When I left
#DPS18, my suitcase didn’t have stickers on it. When I arrived at LAX, it had a rumpled JWST sticker on it. pic.twitter.com/8AprQE1ZAr – mjesto: Baggage Claim - T5

Carly Howett (
@CarlyHowett)—Cassini CIRS revealed an unusual temperatures pattern on Tethys. Looks to be the result of a thermal inertia anomaly associatiated with the more heavily radiation-processed region on the leading hemisphere.#DPS18 pic.twitter.com/IzrkZSPGvk

#dps18 now comes to an end. Looking forward to an exciting time in planetary exploration. In less than 70 days@NASAInSight will be on Mars,@OSIRISREx will be at Bennu, and we will be seeing Ultima Thule, the most distant world yet encountered, through the eyes of@NewHorizons2015pic.twitter.com/w96THfP4sE

I’ve enjoyed stepping outside my comfort zone at
#DPS18 and seeing the exciting planetary atmospheric science going on. Please consider bringing it to Purdue and apply to our open faculty position! http://www.eaps.purdue.edu/about/employment.html#faculty … -
Repeat of yesterday’s proposed mission concepts by
@AlanStern because these mission concepts address goals of the#IceGiants community and those who want to explore#KBOs and#DwarfPlanets#DPS18 https://twitter.com/mommascientist/status/1055498534831702018 …

Just attended an awesome presentation and group discussion led by Mark Hofstadter and
@AlanStern on the prospects of a combined ice giant/KBO mission. Takeaway = we should stop demanding 2 flagships to both ice giants, instead we should “compromise a little, gain a lot.”#dps18 pic.twitter.com/gQcUV0LZUA

Marsset: resolved observations of 2 Pallas using the VLT/SPHERE instrument showing large craters with central peaks. The asteroid is probably not differentiated, has less water than Ceres and Hygiea. The C-complex is indeed complex and diverse

There is a special session for Hayabusa2 at the Division of Planetary Sciences (
#DPS18) this week and also a press briefing with a web broadcast on October 26, 01:00 JST (Oct 25, 12:00 EDT / 16:00 UTC). http://www.hayabusa2.jaxa.jp/en/topics/20181025e_DPS/ … -

The upper slide shown by J. Eigenbrode at
#DPS18 illustrates the shift in narrative for Mars exploration over the decades. It inspired me to make the lower slide about Neptune exploration. What do you think the modern "narrative" for Neptune exploration should be? pic.twitter.com/Eqm8WCFrLF

Both
@BritCoopz and I presented our research this morning on Martian water-ice cloud properties. This was our first time presenting at a big conference (minus my outreach one yesterday) and the expierence was fantastic!#dps18#WomenInSTEMpic.twitter.com/WDw9IucJOO

Last month, @NASAKepler re-observed planet Neptune and its moon Triton to search for atmospheric oscillations and rotational variability. Here is quicklook of the raw 1-minute cadence data!

Glaze: still planning to release a draft announcement of opportunity (AO) for the next Discovery competition this month (acknowledging that there’s only a little over a week left in the month.) Final AO expected in February.
