    The reason that the Hammer & Sickle is not stigmatized and banned the same way as the Swastika is because deep down people realize the equating with is false. They are reluctant to say it, but people know that was NOT worse than .

    "From Moscow" is a 1938 cartoon drawn by Bronisław Fedyszyn. The bottom caption reads "Stalin - 'My mound in world history is certainly growing…' ". Fedyszyn's pre-WWII cartoons consistently (and sometimes presciently) targeted the actions of Stalin and his regime.

    Obviously is incompatible with the prevailing American thinking. Americans wanted to stamp it out due to its sameness, loss of individuality, loss of individual freedoms and limits on individual advancement. But Communist thought is fascinating.

    I read some historical books while growing up.. . started, prospered and slowed down in Russia. In India, it tried to spread it's influence thru Poets, books and extending support to minorities n deprived ones. After Poets, Communism was found in educated lots...1/n
