I didn’t really think a film adaptation of Samanta Schweblin’s Distancia de rescate (Fever Dream) would work. But after seeing it this afternoon it is clear that Peruvian filmmaker Claudia Llosa really did justice to Schweblin’s spellbinding novel. I feel drawn to watch it again.
