    Now that I have at least a year of teaching experience, I feel more confident to move away from only assigning the readings in textbooks to assigning readings I have chosen on my own, such as for tomorrow’s class!

    Finishing up ’s They Were Her Property today in transit. Reading this book in public has been an experience, particularly in the south. Some people ask about it & others, tellingly, don’t. That’s why this book is so important.
