    We responded to a fire alarm at Normal Park Elem. the school was evacuated as a precaution. There was no fire. The smoke came from an electrical malfunction in the breaker box. No one was injured. Electricians will make repairs. Students have been allowed back inside.

    Monday...Donate blood until 3p to help Capt Shellie Thorne and her friend critically injured in motorcycle crash.

    We've had a great turnout so far with our blood drive for Capt Shellie Thorne, who was critically injured in a motorcycle accident last Thursday. The 2 blood mobiles will be at the Training Ctr (3200 Amnicola Hwy) til 3 p.m. today.

    I’m certain that Sgt. Monroe would be pleased and honored if he would’ve known how both and honored him in his life and in his death. Sgt. John Monroe is a hero and deserves the honor that goes with that title. We’re praying for the Monroe family and CPD.🙏🏼😢

    Our benefit concert for Capt Shellie Thorne is today, from 5-10 pm, at Island Cove Marina off Hwy 58. Enjoy live music, good food & make a donation to help Capt Thorne with her medical bills. There will also be a live auction. Admission is $5.
