    We HIGHLY recommend this book by ! It’s a tough read but will make you BEYOND an excellent researcher when it comes to tracking our enslaved ancestors.

    A8 This is specific to each person's respective family's oral history. For me, interviewing several family members in different branches to see who knows what and to compare histories. Interestingly enough, I found 2 more siblings to 2x Great-Grandpa by nicknames.

    A7 Another interesting fact and there is a database, search plantations by county/state. Ive seen the registry/database as I stumbled across it by accident. I know there is one for NC and SC. Some have lots of information based on family notoriety and history.
