It’s over, right? #covid19vic

COVID is killing thousands of Australians who would have otherwise lived, likely to be 20-30,000 by year's end. This fig shows that, after saving lives in 2020 (another story), once this line crossed the zero in late 2021, we were in ‘excess’ territory. 1/

This chart now show how many additional RAT cases would have been needed to maintain the PCR:RAT case ratio at the level it was at before the end of mandatory reporting. This is a very rough estimate of RAT cases missed.

A Melbourne man did not recognise himself when he woke up, unable to walk and with a hole in his face, weeks after he was put into a coma within 90 minutes of going to hospital with COVID-19.

It's been more than a thousand days since the first COVID case was detected in Australia. And while many people are tired of hearing about the pandemic, health experts warn it's far from over. 7NEWS.com.au #7NEWS

Can someone explain to me the thinking of a person who still wears a mask (silly enough), but wears it below the nose or on their chin. Wtf is going on with these people?

Which restriction are you particularly glad to see the back of? Note: masks and vaccine mandates are enablers, not restrictions. Please vote and retweet! #covid19 #covid19Aus #covid19Vic

Hi #COVID19Vic-informed twitter: how sensitive are RATs these days for detecting variants in kids? I have a coughing kid and am assuming they'll turn me away from PCR testing. I just want to know for sure, but don't want to drag kid around town and fight for this right. ☹

‘New phase’: McGowan’s huge call on Covid … what a surprise… #covid19vic
Well it’s nearly the 29th here and I just found this FB memory from 2 years ago as Victoria tonight reports the start of a new Covid wave, while those sick with it can now walk the streets. The health and fiscal debt we are accruing is beyond negligent. #Covid19Vic #Covid19Aus

Covid zero is beautifully paradoxical.
You pursue it to save lives. But in pursuing it, you destroy lives.

FB memories. Where Victoria was today 2 years ago and who it emulated 5,000 Victorian deaths and 2.6 million cases later. Victoria’s government enters caretaker election mode today and will win re-election because its opposition can’t campaign on this toll. #Covid19Vic #Vicpol

I look forward to Andrews explaining why it's "exceptional" to want good health, to aspire to a ripe age, to learn safely, to give equal opportunity to all regardless of disability. The only thing exceptional is the moral bankruptcy of Covid-Era politicians. #Vicpol #Covid19Vic
