    Here's our latest max wind gust forecast for the upcoming Santa Ana event. These offshore winds will be prolonged, lasting into Saturday locally. Strongest Wed night/Thu AM, with another burst overnight Thu. Fire season is, unfortunately, far from over.

    Many inland urban areas and valleys will see peak gusts 30 to 50 mph Wednesday through Friday, with windy corridors between 50 and 70 mph, and our windiest canyons gusting up to 80 mph or even a little higher.

    Incredibly dry air continues to filter into NorCal. Dew points at Redding have plummeted to near 0°F this afternoon with RHs below 10%. Even lower, sub-zero dew points likely tomorrow afternoon.

    Very dry air across California with widespread relative humidity (RH) below 15%. North Fork RAWS near the had a dewpoint of -42F, 1% RH, and NE wind gusts of 35 mph at 7am. 89F dewpoint drop in 12 hours including a 58F drop in 1 hour last night
