On the plus side, I've never actually seen a sign for motorists in Birmingham that was even partially in actual the road before, rather than just blocking the sidewalk. Is this....progress?

Have to admit I was a bit surprised to discover that "Shared Path" applies to cyclists, pedestrians, and drivers of large parked vans!

Yes, please. It's hard to fathom how driver convenience vs. clean air for kids is even a debate, but with
#BrumCarCulture I guess there's plenty that's hard to fathom.#CarFreeSchoolStreets for every school! -
Sounds like a good idea for
@BarfordPrimary, where my children go to school but where the#CarFreeSchoolStreets program hasn't been implemented and almost no one rides a bicycle.#BrumCarCulture -
Yet another example of how
#BrumCarCulture values driver convenience above pedestrian safety. With no crosswalk and two directions of incoming cars, it's too dangerous to film my sprint across. No wonder so few people walk here, but hopefully the#BrumTransportPlan will help.pic.twitter.com/nynRhDo9rd -
Hoping that pedestrians and cyclists respond to this survey, because the
#CarLobby and#BrumCarCulture's supporters will undoubtedly be mobilizing to block any changes that hint at cleaner air or pedestrian and cyclist safety.#UKCarCulturehttps://twitter.com/bhamconnected/status/1222151152583749632 …

If New York can do it for 14th Street, and San Francisco for Market Street, why can't
@BhamCityCouncil declare Moseley Road car-free?#BrumCarCulture https://actionnetwork.org/petitions/tell-birmingham-city-council-no-to-widening-the-moseley-road?source=direct_link& …
