    The budget released by is absolutely outrageous -- 16,000 employees being laid off, cuts to services, but LAPD gets even more money. We stand with and in demanding City Council not pass Garcetti's budget.

    LAPD already eats up 53% of LA’s general fund. wants to increase police overtime funds by 47%! That’s $200 million, at a time when crime is down 30% & we need funds for services in the midst of the crisis. & City Council need to !

    LA people: Mayor Garcetti’s budget proposal would increase spending on LAPD by $200 million, even though crime is down, while slashing all other departments. The LAPD already takes up more than half of the general budget. Send comments to the LA City Council!

    During a public health crisis, the wants to give LAPD more $ as city shower trucks remain locked up and drop in shower services have shut down. The unhoused community at EP Lake had no choice but to build their own community shower.
