    Unfortunately, my talk about "BitLeaker" would not be accepted at BlackHat USA. I really wanted to be a speaker and share my research. I prepared a dramatic demo for the talk. Hmm.. I should upgrade and submit it again. :)

    My code for using the VMK of BitLocker is about to be merged to Dislocker! Dislocker is a popular opensource tool to decrypt a BitLocker partition and didn't have the feature that uses VMK directly. The final piece of has been prepared!

    Cool research, demonstrate the problem of infinite trust to TPM. OS bootloaders don't have direct access to TPM, hooking EFI_TCG_PROTOCOL from custom bootloader can intercept a lot of sensitive info. Btw impacted vendors by based on AMI code ;-)

    According to my research result, a lot of devices that use BitLocker with a TPM are vulnerable now. If your system has a TPM or TPM-related function and uses BitLocker with the default option, please change to more secure one like "PIN with TPM" Europe

    This might become very interesting. Looks like there is a vulnerability to get the VMK with a peace of software and without physical access. . As is part of the strategy of many companies this might be a huge issue.

    I just submitted my new tool, "BitLeaker" to the CFP system of USA 2019. BitLeaker can extract the Volume Master Key (VMK) of BitLocker from the TPM. I also prepared new and not-published feature for Black Hat USA. I hope I could present it! Stay tuned!
