Ditched plans in the city today to find the Barrow’s Goldeneye in Northport and thanks to a friendly birder who let me look in his scope, I was able to see it with 2 white-winged scoters (also a lifer). 3 lifers total including many COGO but only 3 close enough to photo.

Photographed at the West End Jones Beach on Monday morning by Peter Levine. Any guess what this raptor might be😇👍? Could this be a NOT Peregrine? And if so, how fast can people drive to Jones Beach?

Heard the racket of Blue Jays in my backyard so I took a look at why. Sharpie was up in my tree. It’s a favorite spot for Sharpies, Coopers, Merlins, and Kestrals. Baldwin, NY
