    I initially photographed this as a record - and to use as a comparison image - hoping to return when there was a chance of some late afternoon light on the trees. It did happen the following day, but I prefer the cooler tones in this one. (portrait)

    emenac has worked very hard with his D/s at My so tomorrow We have a day of leisure amongst with a visit to The Stables to introduce him to My sister in law then onto acres of woods for him to harvest some and I will beat him with it!

    I'm glad the Rowan and Birch image was well-received - thank you all. This is from a few days ago as the stubborn blanket cloud of late finally moved east leaving clear blue skies. These old Birch trees were backlit just before the sun dropped below the hillside.

    The birch leaves turn a range of yellow and gold at this time of year. In Celtic mythology Birch symbolises renewal or rebirth and is celebrated at Samhain (Halloween), driving out the spirits of the old year. Taste the flavour of this tree in our botanical spirits.

    I Love Ed Lawrence’s Gardening show on . A suggestion he said to fight climate change is to plant more trees. Since the pandemic began I have planted and grown 17 trees. I find saplings on my walks and plant them at my friends places. My fav is pls!
