does absolutely nothing good for Quebec; it makes us look like bigots. It's destroyed our human rights; it destroys the careers of bright intelligent women and puts women into poverty just for wearing a scarf when we desperately need them to work because of shortages.

I'm NOT lying. makes the assumption some people are better than others - some are allowed human rights and some are not but worse - it preys on some of the most vulnerable women in Quebec, punishes them, segregates them, and promotes prejudice against them. Why do this?

does NOT protect those little girls; it just promotes more prejudice against them and stigmatizes their mothers forcing them to hide from society. It's a very negative law and divides us

Just a reminder that Bill 21 is racist. Legislating who can work in public schools and forbidding those who wear religious symbols (with the exception of crosses!?) is islamophobic, antisemitic, and prejudicial against other marginalized religious groups.

I think has a huge impact on the idea that Quebec is able to be a country, given it now is against human rights for all. The minorities in Quebec already feel very attacked by the identity nationalists so having human rights arbitrarily erased does not give trust at all.

Quebec hypocrisy on full display. I saw 3 of these buses yesterday.

    2. The idea of secularism was to separate the church at the time & the state so that you didn't have the church making state policy as happened in Quebec but it was also to PROTECT religious minorities from the oppression of the majority. promotes this oppression.

    2. Yes, secularism is NOT hell. But is NOT secularism; it's state-sponsored oppression of visible religious minorities and especially Muslim women so it is hellFOR THEM. It's meant to be mean-spirited and make them leave. It doesn't effect you so you don't give a damn.

A person who thinks their thinking is superior would be willing to punish those who think otherwise and that is what does. You agree with it so logically you think you are SO superior to the innocent women, you need punish & whose careers you destroy if they wear a scarf.

If someone doesn't want to take off their shoes for whatever reason is your solution to destroy their career? Is not that a bit over the top and mean-spirited? is a very sexist and very bullying bill to create systemic discrimination in Quebec. There is NO reason for it.

    Replying to and

The idea of having human rights is to not punish people for their beliefs. Rights are for ALL. If you want the right to NOT believe, you are a hypocrite if you don't agree with allowing others to believe & worse, let destroy their career & economic situation for a scarf.

Being that interculturalism is actually disrespectful of other cultures, in that is suppresses them and puts them DEAD LAST, this does NOT encourage the mixing of cultures I love AT ALL because other cultures are treated like treats Muslim women - they must hide!

"If Tyranny and Oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy." James Madison I see this has happened in Quebec with . Right-wing fears of a Muslim invasion are being used as excuse to justify destroying human rights.

    Replying to

Believing in human rights is not about copying & pasting; It's simple; you're fair to ALL, unlike the total lack of respect with . You don't go around wanting to hurt innocent women, to strip them off what they want to wear to make them feel uncomfortable and 2nd class.

    Replying to and

As long as the PQ say they stand for rights-destroying laws, like , we see clearly they stand for the destruction of rights for visible religious minorities. This is real and recorded in law so it's a legitimate concern, not an irrational emotion.

    Replying to

Do most of those 40% have huge prejudices against ALL Muslims? is about destroying the careers and lives of modest Muslim women, supported by unethical prejudice and nasty sexism. It has NOTHING to do with secularism creating a distance between the state & religion.
