    Lease deed signed. Keys handed over. I last did this in 1995. I was young, dreamy & excited as we stretched to give deposit & rent. Nothing of the sorts now. Just a mechanical transition. Is this the price we pay for being older/mature. I want to b that 25 yr old!

    Finally, reality sets in! guest house isn't working. Food issues. House hunting in . After 2 decades of living in own home in this is a new experience. So much has changed & yet so much hasn't since I last did house hunting in '90s. Reflecting!

    Doing things I did ages ago. Applying for gas connection as I get :) I can submit documents online and don't need to come again. That's a huge change from the 1990s. Unlike piped gas to homes in isn't common.

    It was not a good Sunday with bad health. Cancelled interviews & meeting. Away from home, found warmth & care as i spent night with Prathima Srinivasan who I 1st met in 1995. We are meeting after 20 yrs. Guess this is how one builds friends & family in a new city

    Knowing nothing about a person/place/thing. And then developing a nuanced understanding of it. As in seeing it not just in binaries - black & white - but all its shades of grey. That's the kind of thing that brings me joy & also the learning curve I seek.
