    I just finished reading Jacqueline Woodson’s novel Red at the Bone. i loved the multiple voices and generational threads, and the integration of history within richly complex interpersonal relationships.

    I strongly disagree. We are making history in the present. And things written even ten and twenty years ago give us insight into our present. I suggested as a way to support Black authors, particularly living ones.
