    I really, really thought he knew better than to just believe everything in the first headline he sees. If younger don't give a damn what "leaders" have to say, good on them ! Link to a more serious article Shermer should have read.

    This is indeed a disturbing case of which you were prescient But more to it than state overreach: family dissolution & marital conflict. Still, if my minor daughter were given life-changing meds without parental consent I too would object.
