    from the : The fruit fly chromosome stained blue shows 1,000 identical copies of a chromosome segment lined up. Red shows genes controlled by one protein; green shows genes controlled by another. When the two proteins work together, it appears yellow.

    Do you think the Optosplit was inspired by Mark Rothko's paintings? The similarities are striking. Today's experiment would be a magenta on top and a lime green on bottom but I think his color palette is a little more pleasing.

    I was seriously blown away by the artwork produced by my year nines today. Last lesson we looked at slides under the microscope and today they worked on their paintings inspired by Odra Noel.
