    Just finished book. Fascinating read. Analysis by helps makes sense of my own experience living in N. Alabama, W. Tennessee, Middle TN, Boston, Indy. Recommended for those trying to understand regional influence on community, politics, identity.

    I love how I can see ’s in other maps. E.g. the cropland belt from Ohio to Iowa that fans out in the plains vs Woodward’s Midlands. Look especially at Kansas!

    Just finished by and loved it! Frustrated by politcial and cultural divisions in America? This book explains so much of it. Interesting to see how even Indiana (heck, even my family) is divided up along these lines.

    Reading American Nations: A History of the Eleven Rival Regional Cultures of North America by Collin Woodard. It is deed historical analysis. My thought is that you cannot divide what is not divisible.

    I'm still reading 's . Now I'm finding revelations abt many of my core beliefs My aristocratic Tidewater (VA) & unruly SC ancestry are def a part of me. Turns tho that my core being comes from the Appalachian Nation. Who knew!?!!
