    Police killed four years ago today. He was 37. Two white police officers responding to a call about a man selling CDs tried to detain him by pinning him to the ground and holding his arms. After claiming he may have a gun, one of the officers shot him six times.

    Yes. Just unconscionable on every level. The police chief later apologized to the city & Sterling’s family saying the Ofcr Salamoni “never should have been hired.” Just like that.

    Video of Officer Salamoni putting a gun to Alton’s head was hidden for two years. Also hid his psych assessment and domestic violence case. He was allowed to resign because the Civil Service Board, which is led by an officer with a record of misconduct, would’ve reinstated him.

    After the murders of & a group of us got together and the White House to peacefully protest police brutality. We eventually made our way to the Capitol where Speaker Ryan had ordered Cap Police to not let us on the grounds. ⁩

    Four years ago, was murdered by police. This happened just 24 hours after we painfully watched murdered by police. Four years ago, some teammates and I decided that we were going to kneel during the national anthem before our basketball games.
