Two movies by Theo Anthony. Rat Film and All Light, Everywhere. Impeccable archival material, oddball metaphysics, and fabulous verité portraits. Marker, Farocki, and, sorry, but the interview with the exterminator reminds me of Vernon, Florida.

Theo Anthony's ALL LIGHT, EVERYWHERE is streaming on Hulu. An essay-exposé on the racist nature of "oversight" in surveillance states, exploring the biases and blindspots inherent in any image-making and the violent illusion that drones or body cams see objectively. Eye-opening.
