    Right, time for my most hated time of the day, bedtime! 😴 I'm absolutely shattered but my brain never lets me drift off to sleep/nor stay asleep, been like it from birth. Do other Autistics have this problem or just general insomnia?

    I am. In the diagnosis process. Had 1st assessment. Assessor believes I am . Waiting for assessment 2. But got told I could be waiting a long time. So I'm a waiting... And waiting... And waiting... Sorry I'm still in my onesie and the awful picture.

    Highly sensitive I definitely think being autistic means for me that I am extremely sensitive, to other people’s emotions and my interactions with the world. many autistic people feel this way. As autistic people we often process everything more intensely.

    I think one of the biggest reasons many folks feel such kinship to animals is because we know what it feels like to see everything, but not be able to talk.

    please remember many autistic people need processing time and space to consider how they are feeling. Everyone’s feelings are their own so when they are telling you they need space and feel overwhelmed, believe this is the TRUTH

  12. One wish for 2019 is that non-Autistic parents of will stop referring to themselves as Autism moms/dads/warriors/etc. You did not give birth to Autism, you gave birth to us stop making it about you. In 2019 listen to us!

    Can someone please explain to me why some are ANTI Neuro-Diversity? Its clearly going over my head It’s my understanding that ND considers ALL neurological standings & not just autism Why would ppl be against such inclusion? I don’t “get it”

    dae find that disturbing noises "echo" in their head for a bit after the noise itself has stopped? Ex sometimes I can't tell if a car alarm has stopped going off from a distance bc I can hear the sound so clearly in my brain for several moments after.
