Using
#AI to determine health care benefits or access to services and treatment may actually cause people to lose out if there is underlying prejudice when we create the algorithms that power decision-making#AXSChat Alt = Quote pic.twitter.com/hDxDPgr7kR

Often a lack of literacy and digital skills can be a contributing factor in people becoming homeless so
#DigitalInclusion projects are crucially important contributors to Social Justice#AXSChat pic.twitter.com/6AJOHMIo6m

There is so much work to do starting with educating educators
@NeilMilliken@debraruh@AkwyZ#axschat -
Education institutions need to provide training for their staff on both the need for accessibility and how to create accessible documents. The creators of the platforms can also put accessibility front and centre of the content creation workflow.

#Axschat Glasgow’s slogan is People Make Glasgow, but they are pretty poor with disabled Glaswegians -
A2 Cities are like a hive and have a collective psychology. Example, Edinburgh's city motto is the conservative 'Inspiring capital', which means 'we like the urban landscape as it is and don't want change.' We need to challenge the dominant psychology of our own cities.
#AXSChat -
A6 Again subtract “aging and disabled”. Or keep it and throw in “homeless”, “low income”, etc
#Axschat -
A1 London and New York will lead the way. There is more money in those cities to spend on urban projects. Bigger cities with more
#diversity tend to foster innovation more. My city Edinburgh, although a decent city, isn't innovative at all when it comes to urban design.#AXSChat -
A5 Subtract “with disabilities” and what does the question say? Inclusive is more than our particular interest in disabilities is it not?

What’s the easiest way to ensure new technology is accessible? **Include people with disabilities within the design process!** Put together focus groups! Hire people with disabilities! The accessibility experts are out there, it’s up to you to work with them.

I agree. Listed building status should not be an excuse to deny
#accessibility. Afterall, we have already modified historic buildings/areas by putting in electricity, plumbing, traffic lights, street lighting, even bloody Starbucks, so why can't we have ramps, lifts etc?#AXSChat -
I wonder where you were Debra

A3 We all deserve equal access to nature, we should be striving to protect nature & access to it always.
#AXSChat -
A3 Nature is fundamental. I lived in Barcelona, now I live in a small town by the sea with forests. There is no comparison, nature is needed
