    The Ferrari and Alpine tend to porposing in slow motion, as if they had a mass damper on board, which of course has long been banned. Red Bull and McLaren seem to have little or no bouncing.

    Red Bull got rid of the bouncing with the big upgrade in Bahrain testing, the underbody and sidepods were new. Since Red Bull surprised themselves by gaining 0.75s, the competition assumes that Adrian Newey's team found their way out of the bouncing trap by accident.

    Some cars drive up to 40mm higher than planned. That costs up to 40 points of downforce (over 1s). And to compensate, more vehicle height and larger wings dramatically increase drag. It's just a coincidence that Mercedes, McLaren and AM all have a Mercedes engine.

    🚨| Porsche seek a partnership with a say and the purchase of team shares. Contacts with RB have been long established. They were close to working together in 2018. RBPT would build the combustion engine, and Porsche would support the electric part with its know-how.

    Mercedes engineers about the bouncing issue: "We have done over 100 experiments with the car setup, going up and down with the ground clearance, more and less damping, more flap setting, different rear wings. There is still no sign of a solution. It is a complex problem."
