    Over the last week, I have worked in multiple underserved clinics seeing 100+ patients for whom access to care would have been impossible prior to ACA. You may hate the delivery or some nuances with the bill, but it was needed and continues to make lives better.

    The "Affordable Care Act" is a joke. It forced me to apply for Medicaid when our 6th child was born, and prevented us from continuing with our normal insurance plan. Then Medicaid told us we didn't qualify. Result: we have been prevented from having any medical insurance.

    The is far from perfect. But it was born of several delicate balances designed to accommodate both liberal (coverage) and conservative priorities (markets). The Trump administration’s suspension of the risk adjustment program is nothing short of bad faith policy nihilism.

    The Affordable Care Act has enabled more than 20 million people to obtain health insurance over the last 8 years. Striking down the healthcare law would cause catastrophic harm to the millions of Americans who count on it affordable care protections.

  12. On the Supreme Court, we need someone who’s going to follow the rule of law, not the rule of Trump.

  13. The Affordable Care Act guaranteed coverage for those with pre-existing conditions, which more than half of all women & girls have. We could lose health care coverage if those protections are invalidated by a Supreme Court ruling.

    Take a look at this list of pre-existing conditions. Chances are you know someone w/one or more of them. Over 2.9 million Bay Staters & 130 million Americans could lose heath care coverage if these protections are invalidated by a Supreme Court ruling.

    For people with short memories, Collins then voted for , which killed the mandate & jacked up health insurance premiums exponentially just like CBO said it would. Collins also voted for Gorsuch who is demonstrably anti-choice. This is more posturing from Collins.

    As the GOP continues to chip away at the , most recently with suspension of risk adjustment payments, it’s feeling more and more like we’re reaching a tipping point towards universal coverage.

    Sorry to burst a lot of peoples' bubbles but, despite its flaws, ("Obamacare") was a lifeline to many. Not only that, but it was starting to bring health care costs down, DESPITE talking points. Moreover, and this is key, it allowed people with Pre-x conditions 2/x
