    When CA passed , it didn’t end systemic racism & sexism—it put up blinders to it. It didn’t end discrimination—it made it harder to address. That’s why I coauthored —placing repeal on the ballot—& why I urge you to vote .

    A reminder it took my mom 30 years to unlearn this toxic model minority mindset. That’s how many years my sister lived before her suicide in 2004 when we buried her with her 2 Harvard degrees. So I have some insight to share on this that might make you feel uncomfortable.

    FINALLy! As a UC Hastings Law grad who volunteered pro bono on the campaign against what we called the “Civil Wrongs Initiative” I hope California will evolve our laws into instruments of justice and equality of opportunity for all.
