I’m trying to understand what this actually means?

Essentially making GraphQL faster by generating optimized JavaScript that v8 then turns into optimized bytecode. Very fun stuff.
-
Huh, where do I learn more, this sounds mind boggling & very interesting
-
We are going to publish the slides and a blog post about it. The first chunk of the work is available at https://github.com/mcollina/fastify-gql …. This just caches the AST and the validation. It’s already fast (3x) but not mind-blowing.

Huh, interesting! I wonder how
@apollographql server compares, and whether by using an LRU it could be made faster? -
The short answer is yes. That's really where this work started... By looking at Apollo and asking what techniques could be applied to speed things up
-
Must say, I don’t find the code you have to be particularly easy to follow, which I suspect is partly due to restify, but I imagine in Apollo we could just do a “cache queries” option that does the add to LRU for queries and invalid queries.

CSP violation (maybe CSP isn't the best form of handling things)pic.twitter.com/ok71RI35Eq

why a csp violation? This runs on the server.

This is just a joke about CSP's approach to things
