Current research suggests that at least half of cancer cases—estimates range from 30% to upward of 70%—could be prevented by applying what we already knowhttps://www.hsph.harvard.edu/magazine/magazine_article/the-cancer-miracle-isnt-a-cure-its-prevention/ …

Maybe partly too the reason we don't hear as much abt this as we should is that no one knows if they make healthier lifestyle choices what dz was averted. You can never know which day you would have been dx w/ cancer but weren't b/c you chose good health over sickness

I had a BMI of 17.5 (underweight) before my diagnosis with #Metastaticbreastcancer aged 33. My personal trainer ran marathons for fun & got incurable lung cancer. We didn't choose our sickness. We are dying because of genetic mutations we were born with. Nobody chooses cancer 🙄

I'm 35 with #MetastaticBreastCancer. This article seems to suggest that saving my life isn't important. FYI my #cancer was caused by a dodgy #PTEN gene. The only effective prevention method for me = my mother having an abortion. Prevention only research = leaving me to die 💔

Prevention is a great idea, but don't ignore those of us who are #BusyLivingWithMets and desperate to live. We deserve to live. Many people I know with incurable cancer are fitness fanatics - how do they fit into your prevention focused model?

It's still not 100% & that margin of error can be taken up by a lot of if's, and's, or but's. I think the chemicals in the environment, and in food, drinks, and medicines could all factor in to some degree. What we absorb, take in, and live in is not as pure as it once was.

Environment including EMF’s in cellphones, tablets and etc. we’re getting hit with an insane amount of toxic exposure. 😩

Yes, it's all about PREVENTION. I think the most important medical hx question is: How much AB have you had+Pesticides have you been exposed? We are swimming in AB+PEST how could medicine let that happen? #GMOs...a little AB c every bite--Glyphosate. See Tampons.

Physicists in CERN know a lot of those particles needed but everything is expensive.

I’ve always wondered how we can get to the moon, but don’t have a cure for cancer.
