“ Political considerations may drive policy choices, but neutral principles must drive decisions about individual cases.” Ok, he faced unprecedented pressure, and picked the best possible SC; but sentences like that are just leading with his chin.

This is an extremely good takedown of the position that jihadists’ motivation is other than religious. And a terrific listen. at his methodical and trenchant best.

Both and I had the privilege of serving under (i well under!) Bill Barr at DOJ at the same time. I am hard-pressed to locate that Bill Barr in 2019, but Judge Starr May feel differently. Looking forward to discussing with him on on at 11:10 EST.

Yates's assessment is simply not controversial. The conduct in the Mueller report would result in obstruction charges anywhere; nor is there any doubt that Mueller so concluded. Looking forward to discussing on with and her All-Star band, at 4:15 ET.

The point that’s missing in the Barr-Judic standoff: Given the subject matter of the testimony, which is the to-date unexplained reasoning for the DOJ’s conclus on the most important probe in at least 20 years, Barr is not stiff-arming the committee; he’s stiff-arming the public.

Bill Barr, noted street fighter, now says he doesn't like the schoolyard rules, which have been used dozens of times. Not a good look for the Attorney General. Looking forward to discussing on with and at 12 ET.

The newly minted Lindsay Graham"I don't care" standard: "I don’t care what they talked about. He didn’t do anything. The point is the president did not impede Mueller from doing his investigation."

Often (if not always) wrong, never in doubt, and never tries even to discuss anything as quaint as USSup Ct legal opinions flatly contradicting him or great weight of legal opinion.Totally unclear why he should still merit a platform. He’s become a crackpot screaming on the bus...

No more proof that this is the way to go is needed. “The DOJ has informed Nadler's office that Barr doesn't want the committee counsels to be allowed to question him, the source said, prompting the AG to threaten to not show up next week if Nadler follows this format.”

Also, and a slight gloss on my friend , your main goal isn’t to expose every inconsistency. Your main goal Is to return the matter to Congress’s judgment, as it stood before Barr intervened, and to force Rs out of the rabbit hole. Be strategic

Dems , Please do not ask any questions at all. You and the public will be so much better served if an experienced litigator does the questioning, and not in five minute chunks.

Sophisticated and super interesting piece from . “But lost in this whirlwind of legal speculation is an important detail in Flynn's plea: The Trump transition team's response to the Obama administration's expulsion of 35 Russian diplomats last December.”

Unbelievable and unacceptable. The DAG should not be talking to Trump about this investigation under any circumstances, let alone making assurances while pleading for his job.
