Happy Independence Day! Let’s remember what unifies us and not what divides us, the freedoms and rights we hold dear, and those who have sacrificed so greatly to guarantee those freedoms. I wish our entire family a wonderful and safe Fourth of July.

Happy Mother’s Day to every mother. Mine is not with me any longer but I recognize that mothers have done more to hold our world together than all politicians and officials ever have.

Today is Holocaust Remembrance Day and I’m so proud to recognize UofSC for supporting Hate Crimes legislation in SC. If tyranny and hate against any person stands unopposed, then it can happen to anyone

  11. In my younger days I thought that Dr. King’s messages about justice for all would no longer be needed by the time I got old. I thought they would be historical footnotes. Not so! Let’s not just remember him today, let’s act.
