i'm not sure you understand what a straw-man is considering you just made one. i literally never discounted the reality of free-software alternatives (of which there are few, btw). it's just shitty when people are attacked for being critical of the things they engage with.
Yes but you can't make an iphone 'somewhat' free software. there is no middle ground. software is free or it isn't. So someone who uses an iphone cannot be a proponent of free software in my opinion.
