i'm not sure you understand what a straw-man is considering you just made one. i literally never discounted the reality of free-software alternatives (of which there are few, btw). it's just shitty when people are attacked for being critical of the things they engage with.

Honestly wish twitter didn't remove the part of the API that let tools autoblock new accounts for you. AND I honestly wish twitter had an option to let you prohibit accounts that meet certain criteria (i.e. too new, too few followers) from tweeting at you or even seeing you.
