Can you go into more detail? Is this for Amazon or AWS? Our AWS bill (>$40K+) is on credit card with no issue and I know of several other companies with bills between $10K-$50K with no issue.

It doesn't make sense that @stellarated & president @CyrilRamaphosa talk about S.A & the 4th Industrial Revolution while u impose exchange control rules that strangle us.

A new ReserveBank ruling (from this month) will disallow payments over $500. Bigger AWS customer can get Amazon to do ACH/Swift billing but smaller companies can’t. It’s friction for small startups that really don’t need it.

South Africa desperately needs smart tech startups, but the reserve-banks exchange control policies make it painful for small companies to play on a world stage. We are big enough to work around it, but it will crush young companies (or cause them to incorporate outside)

They’ll still be talking in 5 years time. These controls strangle small business and do nothing to stop the millions leaving daily - in suitcases. Know you’re opposed to it but i still say incorporate a second company elsewhere.
