Everyone is now starting to talk about "re-opening the economy" but if people are afraid of each other, relaxing government restrictions will only have a small effect. There has to be a reason to believe that there's a safe way to interact with others--masks or distancing.
Wouldn’t most people take their cue from the government and assume it is safe if restrictions are lifted? (Not saying they should, just that’s what I’d expect)

I reckon trust of gov is at an all-time low rn. I trust some of the folks I follow on twitter more than the gov.
