Yeah, it’s a terrible take and a huge self-own. I guarantee many entrepreneurs, especially those (such as myself) who are in the same general space, are paying close attention.

Jason is making a specific point. His firm has a specialized focus and knowledge of a market that has a history in tech that predates Google. SV would be wise to pay attention to the message and not get hung up on the etiquette.

Trying to figure out the upside of such a post. Horrible form. Only acceptable type posts is WHY you invested in a company and how that aligns to your investment thesis. And do it when you make an investment and not at the time of the exit of your investment.

Too many companies go into edtech with a naive viewpoint and without an understanding of systemic problems in k12. The depth of pockets has little to do with the outcome. So there is a lesson to be learned here beyond piling on.
