1/ I’ve lost a lot of weight over the past couple of years and been asked a lot about the story. Here goes, tl;dr - starting a company was bad for my health and took me a while to get it back.

5/ The first breakthrough was meditation. I replaced wine in the evening with 10 mins on
@calm@Headspace@simplehabitapp. Then a warm bath. Suddenly I didn’t crave takeout and cooked dinner at home.Show this thread -
6/ Second major breakthrough was intermittent fasting. I started by skipping breakfast once a week. After a few weeks, skipping bfast + lunch once a week. Then 2x, stopped at 3x. Controlling hunger gave me a sense of accomplishment + helped me better control stress.

7/ Third breakthrough was
@aaptiv. I loved having a pre-recorded workout I could do in my building gym. Exercising became fun and something I looked forward to. Here's a graph of my weight over the next two years.pic.twitter.com/JN1Xw42530

8/ It’s easy to convince yourself your health isn’t important when running a startup. Founders, take care of yourself. I now feel better, have more energy and
@triple_byte is doing better than ever. Everyone benefits, my friends, family and team.Show this thread

It’s incredible what stress can do to the body and how it influences behavior. Even anxiety, many times it’s not anxiety about one thing in particular but a series of things. Then the anxiety manifests in the strangest places. Getting grounded really helps too.
