Do you use any app to guide it?

I use apps to do quick 5 or 10 minute meditations in bed before sleeping. In the morning I just like the silence.

Sitting on the porcelain bowl for 15 min achieves pretty much the same desired outcome.

Same! Think it centers all my thoughts. Try it for 10 minutes every 5 hrs. Magnifies the effect 10x for whatever reason.

A story from TM (paraphrased) Teacher: I’m a fraud. I’m a teacher but I‘m not transcending. Maharishi: Doesn’t matter, go meditate. Teacher: I transcended! Maharishi: Doesn’t Matter, go meditate. Highly rec TM, but either way the lesson: if you’re doing it, you’re doing it.

As long as you’re sitting in “joyful ease” then Dogen says you’re probably doing it right https://global.sotozen-net.or.jp/eng/practice/zazen/advice/fukanzanzeng.html …pic.twitter.com/tMKoq30Oaz

Have you tried meditating before going to sleep too? I prefer to write the “morning pages” when I wake up but meditating before sleep really does wonders for me. It affects the quality of my sleep & I can tell the difference. I practice Maharishi Transcendental Meditation (TM).

Sitting still in silence as the dawn gives way. I keyed into this late last year and found out it is therapeutic.
