This is the type of thing that sounds great in theory but selects for people who want to do @ycombinator for prestige instead of having an entrepreneurial mindset. This is how the Google APM program became @McKinsey for tech too.

“Entrepreneurship for everyone” ignores that not everyone should be an entrepreneur. Entrepreneurship is lighting a TNT fuse, tying yourself to a chair, and having to solve impossible puzzles while being kicked in the privates. That’s not for everyone.

It's also not easy to know if it is for you until you've tried it, especially when you're young. Better to try it early in your career if you're unsure and know empirically. Some % will guess incorrectly about themselves in both directions.

Replying to @harjtaggar @harjeet and
Sure but you can say the same thing about a lot of intense experiences and the solution is not to make it trivial for everyone try it. When you start a company you take others money, you convince people with families to quit their jobs. There are real ramifications on others.

If you’re able to convince people to part with their money or time you’re over the threshold for being an entrepreneur. Even professional investors can’t accurately predict who will actually be good at it over a 10 year period from that group.
