Curation is still undervalued. It takes many hours to identify the best content and only a minute to share it. We can save people a lot of time filtering through content of all types.

To add to the above, think about what you want to bring into the world. The modern world we live in is made up of the things that all of us create.

If you ever have a nice thought about someone, tell them. Whether it’s at work or in life, everyone needs to hear nice thoughts.

If someone mentions your race or sex or ethnicity when criticizing you, you can usually assume that this is the real reason they dislike you.

Advanced move: If you're sure they know more than you, frame it as a definition of the limit to your knowledge, which you're explicitly asking them to extend: "From book A I understood X, but the literature assumes X implies Y and I can't see why..."

the trick to earning someone's respect/interest when you want to ask them questions is to demonstrate that you've done the reading. eg, instead of asking "what do you think about productivity", you might say, "theory of constraints suggests X. but surely sometimes not-X? wdyt"

No progress is possible without trial and error. Not in business, not in science, not in nature. Without failure, there is no learning, no progress, and no success.
