Other than the obvious "this isn't an RTX 4090!" discussion, "Laptop GPU" moniker seems to be optional. A better approach = put "M" back into the name but we've already seen that get royally effed up too: RX 6800S ≠ RX 6800M RX 6800S = RX 6650M XT @ lower power 🧐🧐🧐 2/2

Re: NVIDIA's RTX 4000 Laptop GPUs. 2023 naming w/ "Laptop GPU" = MUCH clearer than w/ RTX 3000 series when NV "decoupled" mobile spec from desktop spec. Still a mess though. GTX 1080 = 1080 laptop RTX 2080 = 2080 laptop RTX 3080 ≠ 3080 laptop RTX 4090 ≠ 4090 Laptop GPU 1/2

After all the rampant speculation, folks w/ zero clue inflating the situation & worse, it turns out this wasn't AMD drivers at all. Rather, it looks like someone simply trying to get rid of mining GPUs possibly used / stored in a humid environment.

What's been your experience with the lifespan of RGB-enabled hardware (fans, cases, etc)? Have you had any LED's die or fade unexpectedly? Other than problems with embarrassingly bad software that is....😋

Important information about anyone interested in or having bought the Fractal Ridge. Yet another PCIe Gen 4 riser w/ compatibility issues. Solution is to run in Gen 3 mode if you have problems. Can't imagine the nightmare Gen 5 will cause w/ risers.
