Standardized admissions tests are such a big and consequential part of American life. Coaching/prep effects are hugely controversial and a firm answer would totally change that conversation. How do we not have better data?

That's astonishing! Qmazed there's still no RCT's...Well there's def parts that can be gamed: vocab memorizing. In a general sense I think selective schools have started to use additional proxies for ability like SAT Math subject tests, # AP classes and scores, and competitions
