This was a good read indeed. Specially the first chapters. This quote you mention was particularly good. Though, towards the end it gets a bit too speculative. Still I also read the follow-up book.
It was a Coursera course once with Yuval narrating the whole thing: https://www.classcentral.com/course/coursera-a-brief-history-of-humankind-566 … which I discovered by chance in 2014, now discontinued.
Indeed, one of my fav book of recent years! My biggest takeaway was that we have been steeped in culture for so long that it is impossible now to assert or tease apart what human behavior is "nature" and what is "nurture".
