Are you considering including a "check-all-that-apply" instruction in your survey? You may receive more accurate data by using forced-choice questions instead, suggested by a 2019 study comparing differences in response to the two formats.

Yesterday I had to say goodbye to Pooh. 😭💔 He had a successful dental surgery on Friday, but yesterday he suddenly went downhill and I had to make the heartbreaking decision to let him go. I'm devastated, but so lucky that he chose me and that I got to have 3.5 years with him.
Pooh, a gray and brown tabby cat, is sleeping on my legs. His arm is stretched over my thigh, making it look like he's hugging me. His face has a slight relaxed smile.

Fort Wayne got hit with a derecho and 98 mph winds last night. My family and I are safe, and my house only took a little damage. I'm lucky. Some people lost their houses. 20K+ are without power during a heat wave, and most roads are closed due to downed power lines. It's a mess.

Have you noticed this 'alt' label on images? It means the image has 'alt text' or an image description. This means that blind people can access a description of the photo. It's really easy to add alt text to your images on twitter. This thread explains how! ⬇️👩‍🦯📲
A close up of the new Alt label shown on twitter. It is white text on a dark slightly translucent black background. Behind the lable is blurred grey from the photo.

Today marks 4 years since my mom died. It's hard to believe it's been that long. I'll be admiring the daffodils and making pepperoni rolls in her memory today.

“The tools and concepts we learn can be great and very helpful for neurotypical people, and for situations when most people involved are neurotypical. We need to be more cognizant that they don’t always work for neurodivergent colleagues.”

I am excited to share a new research report on donor-advised funds (#DAF), co-authored with Dan Heist of @BYUMariott. We are sharing the report (along with an exec summary and technical appendix) on our website: dafresearchcollaborative.org I will share a few highlights here... 1/n

Guess who slept through a tornado last night! My fence took some damage, there's a swing in my backyard that doesn't belong to me, and my patio furniture + one of my raised beds (which was weighed down with rocks!) got thrown every which way, but everyone is okay.

My favorite part of my morning is when I walk into my living room, announce that it's work time, and am followed into my office by my cats. Pooh then curls up next to me on his stuffed seal, and Tigger takes her post by the window, guarding me from the birds. My little minions.

NEW: Disabled and chronically ill Americans have been abandoned by the CDC since the beginning of the pandemic. Comments by the agency's director just confirm what they already knew—"our lives are inherently worth less.” Read my latest:
