Bernadette Mayer was an amazing poet. Here's a doodle I made of her after meeting her a decade ago. (She was wearing a palm-tree shirt and cargo vest <3) RIP, Bernadette.

i'm watching the real L word and there's this one couple who actually seem to like being together but they say things like "I mean, we're 2 women in a relationship, how could it not be super romantic and fuzzy??" which has terf vibes to me and i will not explain

so i was having my thighs, hips, and crotch smacked with a black leather flogger this weekend when one of my best friends' (essentially unreleased but shared with a few friends) song came on the dungeon speakers but then was switched to another song after about 30 seconds :-O
tfw u want to be a pouty drowsy high femme like Jennifer Coolidge but know u r more of a hyper-vigilant pants-wearer with a career scrapbook.
despite any of the wild things that are allegedly going on astrologically I am doing a great job of not making any po-biz enemies today by refraining from replying to various tweets with "ew" the way I want to

How much would YOU pay to see a vampire disguised as a junior girl scout selling cookies door to door and currently covered in the blood of many homeowners get r*iled?
then the guys go on to *throw really well* and the girls are like "I like you you're special. no-one's ever thrown better than me before :)"
It's weird that all of the poems from my new book came out 4-10 years ago. It's a new book that to me feels like quite an old book, some poems written like OVER TEN years ago

Finding out that Christian Bale modeled his performance in American Psycho on Tom Cruise is especially wild for me because it takes me back to 1999 when I saw Cruise in Magnolia and was like "that's my dad."

which show was more in love with Hillary Clinton, Broad City or Parks and Rec, and which one made you vom for longer and thicker
My current view of science: a lot of it in the US came from Nazi doctors granted asylum and allowed to change identities after the war, and these people continued their work in eugenics and genocide. The most funded science in the US is used to either make $ or kill people (2/2)
When I was a kid I loved science and saw only the mystery, the magic, and the possibility to know and interact with the universe in it. I just remembered what that felt like to fantasize about being a chemist or something. (1/2)
Wow in its customer service messaging Amazon literally refers to itself as "the Earth's most customer centric company" and that is pretty intense

Everything changed once I found diagnostic materials made by actual autistic people. I saw myself in my young life, my private at-home life. I learned that lots of other people think and see and feel a lot of the ways that I do. (2/2)

I never could commit to the idea of being autistic because all of the diagnostic material I saw was made by non-autistic people describing what autism looked like to them on the outside. To me, it didn't sound like the me I experienced. (1/2)
2
If someone were to ask me what it's like (for me) to be autistic I think I would say it's really cool but that I am in the process of realizing that other people's experience of my autism has made my life pretty hard

I think weed is medicine, but I also think that not every person needs the same medicine, and taking a medicine you don't need could really hurt you

for sanity and survival reasons I can't think about the apocalypse very often but sometimes I do check in with my thoughts to be like *Should* I take a self-defense class? *Should* I learn how to do basic surgeries?

when u see a huge pickup truck with a "we the people" windshield decal in quill pen calligraphic script, that's when u know u are dealing with a sincere constitutional scholar and not just a roofer who fantasizes about shooting his ex-wife in self-defense

I want to hear more about how, in addition to having our labor exploited, we have so often and without a second ethical hesitation had our lack of other options exploited
